I just hope that they have content to properly compete. I still don't know why they bother with games on this since the remote isn't adequate for the masses.

Well, i bought my first Apple tv (third gen) at €99. For me, it did all that i want and that's great! I did skip the Apple 4th gen because the lack of 4K. I knew this was coming, they couldn't leave it out and there was no way it could go through an update from the software. This 4K Apple TV 5th gen though, i bought it as soon as it was available. Granted, at double the price: €219, but it will be a good upgrade from the one i have now. I'm more then happy with this. I can watch youtube in 4K if i wanted on my computer. So it's not that big of a deal, and i'm sure that through software updates, these are things that can be fixed. Like the Dolby Atmos etc… Apple said that the chip is powerful enough, (and yes, i really do believe that cause it's the same fast chip as in the iPad pro.) So, these things are coming, i'm not even worried for one bit.

It's a bit of the same like with the Nintendo Switch. People screaming that it hasn't Netflix on it and blablabla, but it will come. This is not the most important thing on a GAMINGconsole. What matters are the games, and they some really good ones so..

This was totally off-topic, but actually wanted to clap to birds at a time…

You forgot to mention YouTube 4K is not supported… this also changes the resolution in non 4K movies making them look bad. Buy a Roku.

Even The Verge trashed this device and it's price! You guys have been bought and sold by Apple like so many of us have already known! You guys couldn't even trash the Apple Watch 3 which even Apple had to admit was flawed. What do you clowns do…you never even mention the flaw! Great work guys!

An Apple product wth their 10X processor and a price starting under $200? That's not bad. Even if this isn't the best 4K streaming device on device on the market..

Premium price? Not at all, $200 is affordable. With them giving you the 4K HDR version of a movie for only owning the HD version, that’s a shit ton of money saved right there! Practically pays for itself and not many Apple products do that.

David! Try to understand how 4K works, lol. People see a difference on larger screens and how close their face is to the screen. Why do you keep hating on 4K? The bigger the screen the more resolution is needed, the closer a person sits to the screen the more resolution is needed.

Failed to mentioned how well the Now free converted movies look on 4k HDR streamed. I would really like to know if it’s the same as Vudu services or any others. Not talking about Netflix 4k content, I’m talking about movies that people purchased thru services like iTunes, Vudu, amazon etc. etc. But more importantly iTunes since they now upgrade purchased movies to 4k HDR for FREE! 👍

plz make a new review covering that topic in the near future thanks!

I say Apple TV is the best streaming device because it's compatible with Apple devices and Android devices. I can stream anything from my note 3, note 8 to my Apple TV 3 and with this new model I can't wait to update now
