Apple was working on an under the screen fingerprint reader. Also a mechanism that detects when an iPhone is being dropped and deploys a cushion. Point is, Apple has worked on and even been granted patents for tech that’s never been deployed. It’s possible and even probable that Apple is exploring a unique approach to a stylus just to see how viable the tech has matured and its potential application and to also encourage ideas at Apple, but I wouldn’t bet any money that it’d see the light of day. Now I want to google all the patents Apple has had that never became a product; should be interesting.

So all iPhones in 2018 will have FaceID? But what if John Cena wants to use an iPhone? 😅
