HP acquires Morpheus Data in strategic move to boost hybrid cloud capabilities


Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced plans to acquire Morpheus Data, a leading provider of hybrid cloud management and infrastructure automation software. The acquisition is expected to strengthen HPE's position in the hybrid cloud market and provide customers with a more comprehensive set of tools for managing their IT environments.



Morpheus Data's platform offers a unified approach to managing applications and infrastructure across multiple clouds, including public clouds like AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as private clouds and on-premises data centers. The company's technology will complement HPE's existing hybrid cloud offerings, such as HPE GreenLake and HPE Pointnext.


By acquiring Morpheus Data, HPE aims to:


Expand its hybrid cloud portfolio: The acquisition will add a powerful hybrid cloud management platform to HPE's portfolio, enabling customers to more effectively manage their IT resources across different environments.


Enhance customer experience: Morpheus Data's user-friendly interface and automation capabilities will improve the customer experience, making it easier for organizations to adopt and manage hybrid cloud solutions.


Drive innovation: The combination of HPE's expertise in hybrid cloud infrastructure and Morpheus Data's innovative technology will drive innovation in the market and create new opportunities for both companies.


The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions. Once the deal is finalized, Morpheus Data's technology will be integrated into HPE's hybrid cloud offerings, providing customers with a more comprehensive and unified solution.
