Veeam snaps up former Gigamon channel chief Larissa Crandall

Larissa Crandall has been appointed as the new vice president of global channel and alliances at Veeam. The veteran leader has been in the channel business for over 20 years alternating between roles in security, networking, and Cloud. Before her appointment at Veeam, Larissa was working at Gigamon where she spent 4 years and will be remembered for overseeing record growth in their channel contributions.

Her partner-first approach where she focused on building a culture invested in positive partner experience is one of the reasons she has been so successful.

“Larissa’s appointment underlines the importance we place in our partners. She has a proven passion, vision and a track record of leading programs and extended teams to heightened success based on collaboration, alignment and mutual strategy,” said John Jester, Veeam’s chief revenue officer.

“Veeam continues to evolve but our partner-focused approach to build, market, sell and integrate Veeam solutions and Veeam-powered services remains one of our highest priorities.”

At Veeam, Crandal will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the company’s partner program and also ensuring necessary measures are in place so that customer data is protected across all environments including cloud, physical, virtual, SaaS or Kubernetes.

“I’m excited to work alongside our sales, marketing, research and development and engineering teams to build strategies that are mutually beneficial to our Veeam partners and alliances, while also ensuring the highest level of data protection and recovery for our joint customers,” Crandal said.

The Channel veteran added that she has always admired the Veeam brand and is cherishing the opportunity to not only be a part of it but also help steer it to greater success.

Veeam’s current partner ecosystem consists of more than 35,000 partners and alliances so the new VP will not be starting from scratch.
